Vector Units Chill New Generation of Refrigerated Boxcars for Union Pacific Railroad

When refrigeration engineers from Carrier Transicold work with train engineers from Union Pacific, out-of-the-boxcar developments occur. Union Pacific’s new generation refrigerated boxcars are chilled by Carrier Transicold Vector units and use an improved overhead plenum that was designed following testing and analysis by the collaborators. Along with other advances that improved performance of the boxcar, these features are helping Union Pacific to transport a wider range of perishable goods by rail.
